Hello everyone thank you for visit my blog. This one my first topic here.. In this page I want to give my opinion about Polygyny.
Wahh I know that very hard topic, but this time Polygyny its interesting issue and beside that so very sensitive topic for womens even me.
Why I have to talking about this topic, yeah I want you to see this problem from my point of view. So my question is What do you thinking about Polygyny??
Not every womens accept that isnt it ? Include me.. Actually for me its very difficult shariat even Al - Quraan Allah Ta'ala mention about Polygyny but I cant afford. That obvious its very high level not in my capacity live and then its difficult to see my husband with other women and many reasons too, its will be kill my mental and psychology.
It does not mean we refuse, we must not refuse we must accept that law exists because it has been explained in Al-Quraan only if you are not capable then say that you cannot. Polygyny is allow may but is not mandatory. and only for certain people where your condition is very capable in your mind, mentally and physically and obviously your familys.
Basically, Polygyny happened since long time ago before the arrival of Islam. The initial concept of polygyny at the beginning of Islam was not a form of man power over womens. But with the aim of glorifying womens at that time who lost their husbands during the war.
Having more than one wife has been widely known by the people even long before the beginning of Islam. Even from them they married more than 4 women and slaves too.
Until finally with the coming of Islam, Islam rules and limits the ability to have more wives from one to the max is 4. Even then, on the condition that they are fair.
Read This Surah ( An - Nisa : 03 )
And if you fear that you will not deal fairly by the orphans, marry of the women, who seem good to you, two or three or four; and if you fear that you can not do justice (to so many) then one (only) or (the captives) that your right hands possess. Thus it is more likely that you will not do injustice.
Islam allows polygyny with certain conditions. Before going down this verse, polygamy already existed and had been carried out by the prophets before the existence of the Prophet Muhammad Saw. Until finally Allah Ta'ala revealed his word to limit polygamy to only four people.
Because in ancient times the phenomenon of polygyny has been very much without any limitations until finally Allah revealed the verse. While the Prophet Muhammad polygyny was not because encouraging lust was not a noble goal but on the basis of Allah's revelation.
You know that before the Prophet Muhammad only married the Khadija after Khadizah passed away, the Prophet Muhammad married and committed polygyny at the behest of Allah.
More example are :
The Prophet married Zainab at that time because of revelations from Allah Ta'ala. Shofiyah was married by the Prophet with the hope of the tribes behind Shafiyah many of whom converted to Islam. Hafsah binti Umar and Aisah bint Abu Bakar to strengthen the brotherhood. Rasullulah married Ummu Salam to protect his orphaned children and reduce the burden of life.
Read Surah An - Nisa number 129
You will not be able to do equally between (your) wives, however much you wish (to do so). But turn not altogether away (from one), leaving her as in suspense. If you do good and keep from evil, Allah is very forgiving, Merciful.
Basically, It can be said that humans (men) cannot be fair, even though they want to.
Actually, This context about polygyny is more aimed at saving the lives of orphans so they can get a more decent life. And you know Prophet Muhammad Saw married with doing on the basis of Allah Ta'ala command and the womens are oldest, widow who needs help because her husband's died and they are poor.
